I develop and facilitate creative workshops that use art-making, writing, observation, and experimentation as ways to encourage reflection, curiosity, and connection.
My approach grows out of several strands of my own experience—as a clinical social worker, writer, artist, and someone living with chronic illness. Rather than focusing on artistic skill or producing a particular result, the workshops emphasize process, exploration, and the experience of making.
Over the years, I’ve developed and led programs for health and community organizations, including workshops based on Wayfinding Through Cancer: Tools for Creating a Healing Art Journal. My more recent work explores creative expression and well-being more broadly, drawing on growing interest in arts on prescription, neuroaesthetics, and research into the ways participation in the arts can support well-being.

COLLABORATIONS

WAYFINDING THROUGH CANCER
Wayfinding Through Cancer: Tools for Creating a Healing Art Journal grew out of my own experience with cancer and my interest in the ways art-making can help us navigate uncertainty, change, and healing.
The project later became the basis for workshops that invited participants to use writing, imagery, color, and personal reflection to create their own visual journals.
I’m particularly interested in developing programs with arts organizations, community groups, libraries, health and wellness organizations, and other settings interested in making creative participation more accessible.
